If this is true, then Rove is looking at a bunch of heavy duty federal indictments that not even his chow boy, bush, will be able to bail him out of. Purjury will be the least of his problems. I believe Acts of Treason will be the bigger hammer. If this is true, then finally it will be put to rest that the White House itself was the leak. And, the contention that it was to discredit Plame's husband for stating that the Niger documents were false will finally, finally see the light of day in mainstream media. And, maybe, maybe it will be the beginning of the end of the dubya dynasty. This country is long overdue for a regime change.

MSNBC Analyst Says Cooper Documents Reveal Karl Rove as Source in Plame Case

NEW YORK Now that Time Inc. has turned over documents to federal court, presumably revealing who its reporter, Matt Cooper, identified as his source in the Valerie Plame/CIA case, speculation runs rampant on the name of that source, and what might happen to him or her. Tonight, on the syndicated McLaughlin Group political talk show, Lawrence O'Donnell, senior MSNBC political analyst, claimed to know that name--and it is, according to him, top White House mastermind Karl Rove.

Here is the transcript of O'Donnell's remarks:

"What we're going to go to now in the next stage, when Matt Cooper's e-mails, within Time Magazine, are handed over to the grand jury, the ultimate revelation, probably within the week of who his source is.

"And I know I'm going to get pulled into the grand jury for saying this but the source of...for Matt Cooper was Karl Rove, and that will be revealed in this document dump that Time magazine's going to do with the grand jury."

Other panelists then joined in discussing whether, if true, this would suggest a perjury rap for Rove, if he told the grand jury he did not leak to Cooper.

Cool, lets start hanging all those b*#$ers. I'll bring the tar, you bring the feathers. Let’s start first in the New England area, those guys have been the worst for years.

Most believe that the source is a White House staffer. The only question is which one. My two questions are on point. I doubt a staffer would take it upon themself to violate the law and risk Jail. How Bush will react is also on point. If the staffer is not too close to Bush, Bush can let the law takes its course. If the source is Rove or someone valuable to Bush, the President has a much bigger problem! Does he let the person do jail time if convicted or does he pardon them?

Bob Novak should be required to testify and if he refused, hold him in comtempt. He could do CrossFire from jail like Rush Limbaugh if he is convicted of Doctor Shopping now that the Supreme Court will not block his medical records from the DA in Palm Beach County, FL.

Who is "most"? Did you get that from another poll?

What does Rush Limbaugh have to do with anything about this? This is why you are a typical wacko lefty. You just had to bring him up, for what reason col?

What I find interesting is that these same people believe terrorists should get a lawyer, trials, set free, and any number of defenses.

However, Rove is automatically guilty although there is no evidence he had anything to do with this case.

That's the left for you, a terrorist should have more rights than your fellow American.

ID, I was thinking about this double standard earlier today but in a completely different context - the Holloway disappearance in Aruba. The same folks who want the Gitmo detainees released & given the same rights & privileges as our citizens are all up in arms that the Aruban justice system hasn't jailed all the kids who might know something about, or have been involved in, her disappearance.

And, Gene -

Prosecutors are saying Novak has been cooperating with them even though he's not been called to testify to the GJ. And Crossfire's been canceled anyway - good riddance. Now, to get rid of the god-awful McGlocklin Group. Buheye Bye!

Cheers,
Daiwa

This is just one example of their typical behavior. They scream all day about the rights of terrorists, but Rove doesn't get those "rights" when it comes to them. This just increases my belief that the left really does believe terrorists are victims and they do not consider them the enemy.

Most of the National News has reported that. Lets make Bob Novak tell who told him given the fact he is the one that reported it. He may be talking but he is NOT telling the GJ the source. I did not say Rove was guilty. I said who ever is guilty should be tried and IF FOUNG GUILTY go to JAIL including Rove if is the one that gave up the name and broke the law.

So "most" of the national news is reporting something without facts or evidence. Sounds about right to me col.

Lets make Bob Novak tell who told him given the fact he is the one that reported it.

So you don't believe in confidentiality for reporters and their sources, or is just reporters and their sources to who might be able to blame Bush?

Confidentiality to cover up possible treason-- NO The GJ deliberstions are secret and the GJ should be given the information needed to see is a crime was committed!

liberal chant........ free the terrorists,

jail rove and delay with no trial.

I find the left to be the jokes of this century and to think they take themselves serious.

Treason is not even close to have been committed here. You are so quick to use treason, but how about someone like Durbin and Kerry?

You didn't anser the question col, is the media reporting something without proof or evidence?

Just how do you figure that what has happened is "treason"? See below quote on definition of "treason".

Oran's Dictionary of the Law (1983) defines treason as: "...[a]...citizen's actions to help a foreign government overthrow, make war against, or seriously injure the [parent nation]."

This junk has been going on for a long time. I wrote an article about it a year ago. Two or three articles, actually.

The CIA wife and her wacky husband spent a lot of time running their mouths and promoting themselves. Most believe he used his wife's associations to get the job, that eventually led him to a cushy role in Kerry's campaign. My personal opinion is these folks wore their associations like a badge, and probably every other person they met knew she had been working for them.

Mr. Wilson's behavior smearing people and campaigning against Bush makes me believe that he has been a loudmouth activist the whole time. He finally smeared HIMSLEF to the point that Kerry for President Inc. shut down his little "lying for truth" site, and redirected it to the main Kerry page.

Do you think Dems are doing this to shift the smear, or do they want revenge for having their little attack dog outed as the dishonest spotlight junkie he was?

As has been said, a year ago they said they were going to try and get Rove marched out in handcuffs. A year later they are still trying. Kind of sad, given they were sent there to govern.

"It's of keen interest to me to see whether or not we can get Karl Rove frog-marched out of the White House in handcuffs. And trust me, when I use that name, I measure my words."

-J. Wilson August, 2003

These people are constantly burning crosses on the White House lawn. It's a shame how anxious people are to believe them. Wilson lied about his part in the Niger Uranium thing, they lied about how his wife got him the job.

Now, though, because the "bad guy" is supposedly Rove, everyone wants to believe them. How many at-bats do they get before they are sent back to the minor leagues where they belong?
